Commonly used in Object Source Lighting, which is a painting technique used to create the illusion that a painted object is emitting light itself.

These opaque fluorescent acrylic paints react and glow brightly when exposed to ultra violet light and are ideal to use with our ultra violet LEDs, blacklights and light strips. Their intensity can be graduated by building up layers of paint to create subtle or vivid effects, and are strongest when used with a white undercoat.

It should be noted that all fluorescent paints require constant exposure to a UV light source to produce their strongest neon effect, and are not the same as luminous glow in the dark paints that store and release light energy in complete darkness.
